Health care reform becomes law
The League joined more than 200 organizations representing consumers, medical groups, businesses and labor in urging Congress to pass reform, running this ad in POLITICO, Roll CallThe Hill - and then celebrated the historic victory with thousands across the country.

"League of American Voters" at it again
As health care reform approached the finish line, the big-money conduit "League of American Voters" tried (and failed) again to derail health care reform by targeting 13 members of Congress in an expensive ad campaign. Mary Wilson spoke to POLITICO about the group's deceitful advertising.

Washington Post prints Wilson's letter to Chief Justice Roberts
Mary Wilson's hard-hitting letter, Feedback for the high court, resonated with legal blogs Gavel Grab and Political Activity Law and her message - "Buck up, Mr. Chief Justice. Occasionally there are some things you really need to hear" - was Election Law Blog's Quote of the Day.
We did it! Thanks to you and thousands of activists across the country, the League celebrated the historic final passage of health care reform this month. We can now begin to undo decades of neglect that has left millions of Americans at risk. This legislation is a monumental step in the fight for social justice. Thank you for taking action.
